Glass disc shape earrings – vintage pressed glass and contemporary pressed glass

These earrings are hand-crafted into a disc shape, from vintage and contemporary pressed window glass. The vintage glass has had a former life in the window or door of an old villa. The glass has a range of beautiful patterns embossed on its surface during fabrication (often in the 1800s or early 1900s).

The earrings hang on hand-crafted sterling silver rings/sleepers, and measure approximately 1.8 cm in diameter. There is some variation in the size depending on the dictates of the pattern. The glass has a sea-softened appearance. Colours  and designs featured are Florentine – pale turquoise blue NEW – SORRY NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE; Florentine – dark green NEW; Florentine – red NEW, Floreal – amber VINTAGE, Floreal – purple VINTAGE; Stipple – sapphire VINTAGE – SORRY NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE

Please note that the patterns on the glass differ, and not all patterns are available in all colours and some are intermittently available. The ‘florentine’ pattern (as seen on the red earrings) is new glass, and is available in the widest range of colours – red; royal blue; pale green; dark green; cobalt blue; clear; dark turquoise.
