Recycled semi circle ceramic pendant – Chinese Pink Floral

This pendant has been handcrafted from broken/recycled china and is formed into a semi circular shape. It measures approximately 4.5 cm high and 9 cm wide. The cord is plaited and is attached to the pendant using a unique double binding method. The length of the cord is approximately 50 cm; it is designed to sit just below the collar bone. It fastens with a simple loop and toggle system; the toggle matching the china of the pendant.

The featured pendant is crafted from the edge of a bowl and is contemporary china from China, with a delicate, slightly embossed pattern in pink, green and white. The bowl was purchased recently in an op shop/ second hand shop in Ōtautahi/Christchurch. It has a definitive curve, due to the shape of the bowl.
